An opportunity has arisen within a large main Blue Chip contractor operating within the UK at present for a Temporary Works Engineer on their Olympic Based Project.

The Role:
• To develop procedures in accordance with specifications and relevant British Standards
• Control of document and drawing issue - compliance with current design parameters
• To check the Interface with permanent design to ensure compatibility of temporary designs
• Ensure all temporary designs conform with all current Health & Safety & Environmental legislation
• Development of working methods in association with site team
• Input into value engineering through design phase
• Temporary works related to permanent works
• Develop methods for construction in coordination with the Section Manager(s)
• Input into site daily monitoring review meeting
• Identify requirements for materials approval in liaison with Engineering Manager
• Ensure that designs are prepared in line with current H&S applicable legislation standards.

About You:
• HNC, HND, BEng or equivalent
• Dedicated and hard working
• Relevant knowledge of BS Standards
• Good time keeping skills
• Methodical in your approach to work
• Health and Safety compliant and knowledgeable
• Design Knowledge

Our client is involved in the £150m bridge and road packages that will play a key part in opening up the Olympic area. They will also be providing new connections across the park and represents the bulk of the roads and bridges to be built for the Olympics.
Our Client will be building the rail over-bridge package as well as the main stadium area bridges. These combined include three land bridges, three footbridges and four footbridges.

A package which is in line with the demanding nature of the project which includes Salary of between £24 - 32k + package which includes, Private Pension, Overtime, Company Car + Phone.
