This international firm own, acquire, reposition and manage technology related real estate. The company is focused on providing Turn Key Data Centre and Powered Base Building Data Centre solutions for domestic and international tenants across a variety of industries and includes over 50 Fortune 500 companies. Their portfolio is located in 26 markets throughout North America and Europe.

We are seeking a Technical Operations Manager, M&E to join their expanding European operation.

Under the guidance of the European Operations Director you will coordinate and manage the technical, telecom, security, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems of the UK Data Centre property portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee all building systems and critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the raised floor environment including fire and life safety, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.

To plan, implement, coordinate and supervision of all mechanical and electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for a critical facilities environment.

Scheduling of preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, general maintenance with minimum disruption of building services.

Coordinating the input and output of the preventive maintenance system and review the status on a monthly basis.

Understand the engineering design and operational aspect of each building system.

Monitor all allocations of building system capabilities to various base building and tenant needs.

Acts as primary technical resource for Building Engineers, Property Management.

Evaluate, assign and monitor the safe work responsibilities and capabilities of employees and contractors.

Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and engineers.

Maintain on-going communication with tenants, owners, property management and vendors.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise Building Engineers and Data Center Engineers staff including hiring process, training, and personnel development

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Have the ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex project documents, AutoCAD, Visio, and PDF documents. Ability to project manage effectively.

Have the ability to develop installation standards and project tracking management documents. Ability to effectively respond, verbally or written, to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective presentations and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. You will require a high level of commitment to customer service, whether co workers or clients.
