Job Description
We are looking for an engineer(s) with a chemical, process or safety related degree or equivalent who are able to contribute to existing projects as well as supporting those which are developing. The suitable candidate should have proven knowledge in carrying out risk/safety related assessments in the oil and gas, petrochemical or related industries. The technical workload will encompass the following techniques: • Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment • Consequence modelling, including use of packages such as Shell FRED, Shepherd and various fire/blast CFD codes • Bow-Tie modelling using ABS’s THESIS code • Safety Case/COMAH Case development and support • HAZID/HAZOP/SIL The individual will be expected to have knowledgeof some of the above and a willingness to develop skills in those areas in which he or she is weak. Mentoring will be provided in this regard. The expected work profile would require the person to both work on his own initiative and with the other team members including other offices with the group. Work is ultimately likely to require some travel both within the region (Europe and Middle East) and possibly beyond
