Job Description

Our Client, a leading multidisciplinary Construction Consultancy, requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver several infrastructure projects and maintain a strong working relationship with the client. Working as part of a team, or on an individual basis, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be expected to have the ability to take full responsibility for the total cost management of projects.

The main challenges of this role are firstly to manage the broader implications of a project in order to achieve the best deal for the client and secondly to develop the success of the projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment. It will also be your responsibility for managing the client's expectations in a competitive environment.

The successful candidate will have a BSc. In Quantity Surveying or equivalent and have a professional qualification (eg. RICS).

Responsibilities
To take a leading role in setting team objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player.
To plan and control projects through to completion.
To gain the confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication.

Person Specification
A strong track record in Cost Management, showing a progressive career path.
Experience of controlling quality infrastructure projects.
A depth of knowledge of different construction processes.
A forward-thinking approach to the management of clients and projects.
Experience of ECC and ICE forms of contract.
Experience of CESMM & Highways Method of Measurement.
Experience of Section 106 and 278 agreements.

Salary and benefits are commensurate with the candidate's skills and experience.
