PURPOSE:

Under the general direction of the Team Manager, the role involves the checking of Developer's highway design submissions to ensure they meet Hertfordshire County Council's technical and legal requirements.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To assist the Development Control Team in processing developer designed highways schemes.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Development Control Team that works closely with clients, helping them to assess the highway works designs of third parties. Reporting to a Senior Engineer, you'll ensure our client responds promptly and professionally to their clients' requests for engineering assessments. You will play an important role in attending design and site meetings to ensure projects are meeting the required standards.

ABOUT YOU:

Educated to at least A-Level or OND / HND standard, you will be someone with a track record in highways already (design or maintenance).

TECHNICAL SKILLS / ABILITY:

You should have the ability to use your judgement in independent or team evaluations.
