Exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Planner to work on Development Control, Policy and Research, Environment issues (built and natural), Planning Enforcement, giving advice on planning and related matters as required and dealing with public enquiries. Previous experience in Development Control is essential. Responsibilities will also include handling planning applications, householder and some commercial. You will have good customer service skills and excellent time management skills. Other duties include preparing written submissions for appeals and assisting in preparing evidence in connection with informal hearings and public inquiries, the collection, analysis, monitoring and presentation of published data and research material, participating, with appropriate supervision, in planning briefs, public consultation, conservation areas, environmental improvement schemes, tree preservation orders, enforcement matters and advertisement control.
