Job Description
You will be involved in the final approval of a Development Plan , including the identification of sites for the treatment/disposal of municipal waste arising in the sub-region and the lead officer on Waste Planning issues.
You will ideally have:
Experience of the preparation of Local Plan/ Development Plan Documents, including evidence gathering and Sustainability Appraisals.
Demonstrable experience of working effectively with local politicians, external bodies, developers and individuals.
Substantial experience of drafting planning policy documents contracts and specifications.
Experience of preparing and evaluating tenders for consultancy support and the management of consultants.
Proven experience of working on own initiative, establishing and maintaining work programmes and plans.
You do not need to have experience of Minerals and Waste but any experience would be a benefit.
