Site Engineer – as builts, for RC frame and Structures. Current requirement for a Contractor who is starting work on additional projects and now needs an Engineer to take responsibility for the structural as-builts as the Company Engineer provides setting out for the build process. There are 2 specific jobs that will require extra engineering input. These are schemes that will run for 10-12 months and freelance engineers will be used for periods of 3 - 4 months to supplement the staff Engineers.

The jobs are in Slough and west London. The schemes are similar in that they comprise traditional groundworks starting with excavation, moving on through piling, drainage, sub-structure and super-structure RC. In one steel frames will be utilised for the upper stories and for the atrium display areas. The schemes are commercial comprising multi-storey structures over double basements.

We are ideally looking for an Engineer who is capable of working with the Project Engineers to provide all the as-builts and can record their information accurately and is able to stay ahead of the following trades. Standard QA procedures will be in place and your duties will include checking setting out and following up with as builts. On occasions you may be asked to help with checking for design queries, maintaining the site diary, raising RFI’s, cubing up for concrete, supervising pours and generally ensuring that the sites proceed as smoothly and satisfactorily as possible. This is a role that requires a good level of communication and the ability to work with the Site Foremen to plan ahead.

Good rates of pay with hours to match are available. This is a role that will suit an Engineer who is keen to demonstrate their ability to plan ahead and produce well organised results. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
