SITE ENGINEERS X 3 – Groundworks. Coming out of winter this growing Contractor is starting work on additional projects and has 2 specific jobs that will require extra engineering input from March / April onwards. These are schemes that will run for 4 - 6 months and freelance Engineers will be used throughout as the Company’s own Engineers are assigned elsewhere.

Stratford and The Isle Of Dogs are the 2 locations. Both schemes are similar in that they comprise traditional groundworks starting with excavation, moving on through piling, drainage then sub-structure and super-structure RC. Steel frames will be utilised for the upper stories and for the atrium display areas. The schemes are residential comprising multi-storey structures.

Engineers who are capable of working on their own initiative and working with the site based foremen in order to provide all the site setting out information accurately and are able to stay ahead of the workforce are sought. There are standard company QA/QC procedures to comply with and your duties will include providing all setting out information to the foremen and trades, checking on drawing information, raising and responding to RFI’s and CVI’s respectively, maintaining the site diary, calling off materials as needed, cubing up for concrete, supervising pours and generally ensuring that the sites proceed.

These are roles that require a good level of communication and the ability to work with the Site Foremen to plan ahead. Both oral and written communication skills must be adequate to meet safety requirements. Good rates of pay with hours to match are available. Only candidates who are legally permitted to live and work in the UK will be considered.
