My client is a forward thinking Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy with over 130 staff in the UK. They are currently celebrating their 60th year and enjoy the stability of a long and successful history with a modern outlook that embraces new technology and ideas. They are active in a number of sectors primarily retail, commercial, residential, education and industrial, and one of their offices specialises solely in structural glass and is renowned for being one of the top 4 offices that specialises in this area.
They are currently recruiting for an Experienced Structural CAD Technician to join their team of experienced CAD Technicians.
The role:
·The candidate will be required to carry out detailing of Steel and Concrete frames – most RC details are completely externally and no steelwork fabrications are done in-house.
·Refurbishments of existing buildings – with the addition of staircases, escalators, lifts, mezzanine floors, plant decks etc.
·Load bearing masonry house/flat type construction.
·Revit structures, CSC 3D+ would be beneficial.
The person:
·4 years experience that has an HNC or equivalent qualification.
·Experience using AutoCAD 2008 (CAD-SW & CAD-RC advantageous not necessary)
·Lives local to Guildford, preferably holding a driving license.
