Job Description

We require numerous Civil Engineering Technicians to work on Olympic and other civil projects. The work will involve small and large scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects including highway and drainage design, car park layouts and junction design.

Requirements:
• Relevant industry experience as a civil engineering technician
• Appropriate technical qualification such as HNC/HND, NZCE, Beng, Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Be a competent user of AutoCAD and 12D
• Good computer and IT skills
• Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees and external clients
• Confident with the ability to take the lead in challenging situations

Key responsibilities:
• Ability to communicate technical subjects
• Undertake detailed design
• Assist in the develop systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD System is used effectively
• Provide guidance and advice to design engineers and technicians on the planning and management of advanced CAD techniques
• Prepare technical schedules
• Ensuring that appropriate service / design decisions are met
• Continually ensuring that the clients interests are at the highest level
