A Local Authority in East London is looking to appoint a Policy Planning Officer.

The Policy Planning Officer will work on the preparation of the Council's Local Development Framework. This will involve analysis and Policy formulation as well as taking the plan through its statutory stages including formal submission.

The appointed Policy Planning Officer will be required in preparing evidence for and appearing where appropriate as witness for the Council at any examination/hearing into the LDF Plan. The Policy Planning Officer's role will also consist of offering planning policy advice to the Head of Development Control in the determination of planning applications and the enforcement of planning control.

We are looking for a Policy Planner with a Town Planning degree or equivalent, previous planning policy experience of working on Local Development Framework in the UK or overseas.
