Job Description
A Local Authority in Buckinghamshire is looking to appoint a Planning Enforcement Officer.
The Enforcement Officer will be required to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective planning enforcement service, investigating alleged breaches of planning control and recommending appropriate action. You will also have to investigate a wide variety of enforcement cases, taking appropriate action in accordance with relevant planning legislation and guidance.
The role will consist of processing enforcement appeals, prepare statements and appear as the Council's expert witness at Informal Hearings, Public Enquiries and in Court, as directed. You will be required to keep abreast of planning legislation and guidance, in particular that relating to enforcement, and, as necessary, to research and interpret relevant planning legislation.
The appointed Enforcement Officer will will need to hold a Town Planning degree and have previous experience in a similar role in the UK.
