Job Description

Our client, a well respected London Borough is looking to recruit a Town Planner into their Policy and Research Team. The contract will be for an initial 3months with possible extensions for a further 6-12 months thereafter. Paying £16per hour this vacancy provides an excellent chance for the aspiring graduate or Town Planner with overseas experience.

I have summarised the position brief below:

1. To assist in the preparation of the Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)
2. To undertake research and analysis to support the LDF evidence gathering process in relation to Census information, development monitoring, land-use/ environmental information and planning policy guidance as required.
3. To make use of Fastweb, Fastplanning, GIS and planning files to ensure all planning information is submitted accurately and on target.
4. To assist the Senior Research Officer in undertaking sustainability appraisal (SA) in the preparation of local development documents and in producing SA Reports as required.
