Job Description
Supported Living Manager/Registered Manager required for a private home in south London. You will need least one year's experience of managing staff in residential settings and at least two years experience of working with people with learning disabilities within residential settings. You will also be required to have direct experience of contributing to service development and in staff recruitment. It is also essential you have good knowledge of the following areas;
1. Knowledge and understanding of the Care Standards Act 2000 and its implications
2. Knowledge of other relevant legislation, such as Valuing People and Health and Safety and its impact on service delivery
3. A demonstrable commitment to ordinary living and user empowerment and means of achieving their practical application for people with a learning disability
4. Knowledge of welfare benefits systems and experience of liaising with relevant agencies
5. An understanding of the process of team work and a commitment and ability to work in a team
6. A demonstrable commitment to the principles of equal opportunities and its practical application.
The Position is to start ASAP and is permanent. You must be eligible to work in the UK and have a current CRB.
