Job Description
South Gloucestershire benefits from attractive and varied landscapes, towns, villages and diverse urban areas. The Council is a large Unitary Authority and the area is subject to intense development pressure.
Our client are seeking a talented urban design professional, ideally with some development control experience, who can make a major contribution to delivering on the Council’s strong commitment to securing sustainable development and design quality. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team providing urban design advice on planning applications. As a confident and successful negotiator you will also work with developers and communities to secure development proposals that will enhance quality of life, sustainability and design quality.
You must have a relevant degree/diploma, and membership/eligibility for membership of a relevant professional institute.
