Our client is an international consultancy employing 6000 and offering integrated professional services in the transportation, property, environment and natural resources sectors.

Their geotechnical specialists provide a service to other sections of the firm as well as undertaking direct geotechnical commissions for many outside bodies such as government departments, local authorities, financial institutions, other consulting engineers, contracting and commercial organisations, and private individuals. Projects range from a foundation assessment for a single building to the geotechnical aspects of major projects such as new towns, highways, prestigious structures, airports and bridges.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified professional to join one of our our client's fastest growing practice areas. The jobholder will be required to manage and undertake work on contaminated land and water projects, and supervise other members of the team. The role also involves undertaking desk studies, ground investigation, groundwater and gas monitoring, qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, remediation options and remediation deisgn, and validation studies.

About You
The Senior or Principal Contaminated Land Specialist should have a degree and an MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Candidates should also have experience of Phase I and II investigations, QRA methodologies, quantitative risk assessments, and remedial optionsdesign for regeneration projects. Knowledge of integration of remediation and geotechnics work and the planning system is also advantageous.
