This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading engineering consultancies in their London office as a Senior Transport Planner. The company has an ever-increasing portfolio of work in both the public and private sectors, and the Senior Transport Planner will undertake various transport projects such as transport modelling, scheme appraisal and evaluation of public transport proposals.

You will be a Transport Planner with strong technical expertise, You will have the potential to advance to Principal Engineer level and beyond.

You will have accountabilities for:-

- Transport Model development
- Supervision of less experienced staff on specific tasks
- Carrying out agreed tasks to time and budget.

The successful applicant will:

- Ideally be a Chartered or Incorporated member of a relevant professional body such as the ICE, IHT or CILT.
- Have post-graduate experience within a Transport Planning consultancy or Local Highway Authority (dealing with transport planning matters) with experience of undertaking public sector commissions.
- Be technically competent on various transport issues,
- Have a sound understanding of modelling packages such as SATURN, CUBE Voyager and microsimulation packages,
- Have experience of traffic survey planning and resulting data analysis,
- Have a sound working knowledge of DMRB and WebTAG,
- Be Experienced with traffic forecasting using TEMPRO,
- Have strong numerical and analytical skills,
- Be a team player with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Have experience of report writing,
- Have experience of the delegation and supervision of tasks carried out by less experienced staff.

If you have some of the following experience that would also be beneficial:

- Experience of COBA, QUADRO or TUBA economic assessment programs
- An MSc in Transport Planning or similar
- Sound knowledge of Project Management requirements.
It would also be useful if you have a full driving licence.
