Job Description

As a civil engineer your role will entail undertaking detail design, contract preparation and management associated with complex street scene and transport infrastructure projects, from planning stage to project delivery.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator as they will be acting as a negotiator and responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships and other external relationships. The successful candidate will be contributing to the development, promotion and implementation of various council street projects. They will provide advice for improvement schemes, represent the Council at meetings with Government departments and be responsible for the management of staff and delivering schemes in line with the business target plans. They will need to be proficient in AutoCAD and general Microsoft packages as well as have recent experience in managing a variety of projects from planning stage to project delivery
