FUNCTION OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF ROLE
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB·Ensuring the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of services and all critical plant as per the PPM system. Ensuring the compliance and that it meets the required standards within the benchmarked engineering framework.·Informing the client of all problems, which could have an impact on services to the end users.·Directly responsible for the site based engineers and operations in a critical environment.·Co-ordinating Operations, PPM, Reactive, Shutdowns, & Small Works.·Delivering High Level Management Reports. ·Managing Health & Safety to ISO 18001 and Environmental Plan to ISO 14001

KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
MAIN DUTIES·Liasing with building Users and Client representatives, analysing performance, using control logs and making recommendations on possible solutions, developing strategies and managing the contract to the highest possible standard, ensuring compliance and increasing efficiency·Influencing and implementing the CEM Programme to all employees, this includes undertaking and managing scenario training sessions·Attending site in emergency situations, planned works as required, participating in the PME call-out rota·Managing resources and instructing Site Based Engineers in PPM, Reactives & Small Project, ensuring that delivery targets are met ·Co-ordinating staff training and development ·Undertaking Site specific Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Audits and ensure that adequate training is given in these areas.·Conducting audits on Asset Management, reactive maintenance activities, PPM works and Help Desk generated works, in line with the PME Quality Management System on a periodic basis.·Managing the implementation and development of the AMIS benchmarking.·Developing CMMS reporting in line with the AMIS benchmarking ·Ensuring that PME operatives and Sub-contractors operate within the agreed Permit to Work System and that the Method StatementsRisk Assessments are carried outprovided where necessary and maintaining Authorised Person Register.·Ensuring implementation of Escalation Procedures, Emergency Procedures and HV Switching programmes.·Ensuring spare parts, materials and consumables are purchased at competitive prices and represent value for money.·Monitoring the reading and recording of all water, gas and electric meters once per month and ensure the provision of accurate information to the Client.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual, who is able to achieve results •Good communication and influencing skills•Proven experience in a Building Services Engineering electrical technical position•Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance benchmarking•HV Authorised for the contract•Good knowledge and practical understanding of IT applications such as excel and word along with a good working knowledge of IT based CMMS systems•Good organisational skills and ability to demonstrate initiative.•Ability to work to strict deadlines and work well under pressure.QualificationsRequired•Engineering HNC ONC or equivelent.•Computer Literate•IOSH CertificateDesirable•Nebosh Certificate
