Our client is currently looking for a chartered professional town planner who is ready to tackle a senior role with intelligence and integrity. Duties may include public enquiry work, such as appearing as an expert witness so you must be comfortable with both preparing evidence and presenting it to official bodies. Site assessments and inspections will be a regular part of the role, as will policy analysis and working in multi-disciplinary projects. This is a chance for a Senior Town Planner to work alongside fellow industry professionals on relevant and interesting projects. MRTPI is a must, as the role will involve mentoring colleagues towards the same accreditation. Your communication skills, both written and spoken, must be excellent due to the high level of client contact involved. The ideal candidate will have appeals experience, in addition to a thorough grounding in the main areas involved in planning, particularly pre-application advice and residential applications.
