Job Description

To provide Project controls support and expertise to project teams in the management of projects to ensure accurate reporting of project costs, performance, forecasting and cost reconciliation. To elevate the role of Cost & Planning as an integral part of the project management process.

Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable about overall project planning and detailed scheduling for all aspects of a project including Design, Procurement, construction, systems handover and commissioning
- The highest technical skills and thorough knowledge of project controls principals and work methods, to be able to provide a support level and technical guidance for major projects
- Strong analytical skills that will allow to make definitive assessments of projects having performance problems and be able to develop and implement solutions via communication and support by Executive Management
- Proven leadership ability to guide, mentor, motivate, and foster the career development of others while also providing solid consulting advice to Executive Management to all matters of project planning and scheduling

Skills / Experience Required
- Extensive experience as Project Controls Manager
- Preferably this experience would have been gained on major capital projects i.e. total value greater than £10M
- In-depth understanding and experience of Earned Value techniques
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and techniques
- Preferably experience of using a disciplined project controls solution
- Understanding of change management principles and techniques
