The Project is a substantial brown field re-development to provide extensive accommodation in a mix of private and affordable housing. The initial value to the Contractor is £9m and they are intending to win the subsequent phases of this project.

The Contractor has a long history of working with this developer and has won this project on the basis of producing excellent results elsewhere, so is keen to maintain that successful relationship.

Site Specific Details. Conforming to Design and Build criteria the project is proceeding on the basis of limited information, so you must be used to this scenario. The Enabling Works are starting under the supervision of the Contracts Manager, however you will be expected to take these over along with the Excavation, Piling and Probing, Groundworks and Drainage and RC foundations and basements, moving up through the vertical elements. Final design elements still need to be worked on, however there will be a large amount of RC with areas of traditional build.

Your Role is overseeing the Site / Section Managers, Foremen and Engineering staff who will be responsible for managing the Contractors direct labour force. Liaising directly with the main contractor and reporting to your Contracts Manager you will be expected to be responsible for the whole project, taking on board Programming and Co-ordinating all activities.

Qualified in an Engineering capacity or progressing from a Trades background, either route will be considered equally. CITB certified with recognised qualifications you will be expected to be fully aware of Health & Safety requirements.

A Background of working for a large Groundworks Contractor or RC Contractor would be ideal. However your enthusiasm and ability to demonstrate a desire to achieve will be considered as
