Job Description

We are currently looking for a Rapid Prototyping Manager/Model Maker, for an exciting role to work with the latest in prototype modelling equipment for the world's leading Architectural practice.

Reporting to, and assisting the Head of Design your responsibilities would be as follows:

" Managing all aspects of the rapid prototyping department.
" Preparing and setting up all RP equipment.
" Preparing and fixing STL files
" Keeping logs of all RP jobs so that they can be charged to the different jobs
" Cleaning and maintenance RP equipment
" Post processing of RP builds
" Consulting architects on all aspects of RP
" Thorough knowledge of and compliance with F+P procedures and standards
" Scheduling and managing RP builds, internal and external

The ideal individual would possess the following qualities and skills:

" Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities
" Previous experience with Rapid Prototyping technology.
" Ability to manage and motivate a team
" Good CAD skills
" Understanding of architectural model making.
" Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing
" Good interpersonal skills and to work independently or part of a team
" Being able to do intricate and precise work
" Ability to manage and prioritise tasks and time efficiently
" Able to cope with conflicting demands and to prioritise work under pressure
" Initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks
" Methodical and accurate and consistent attention to detail
" Excellent organisational skills
" Flexible attitude
" Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
" Previous experience with specific rapid prototyping equipment
" Experience with RP specific CAD software ( Magics)
" Knowledge and awareness of the world of RP.
