Job Description
Junior Engineer / Chainperson. Immediate requirement to assist the Site Engineer. This is a Civils project so previous experience of working on roads rather than structures would be an advantage.
The Contractor has a large number of Civils projects underway at any one time and they mainly involve, Road Re-construction, Road Re-alignment, Pavement refurbishment or re-construction, extensive drainage and hard landscaping, installation of street furniture or a combination of one or more of these.
You will ideally have a Civil Engineering qualification and will be keen to obtain practical site experience working alongside a very experienced Site Engineer. You should be able to set up the EDM and level so as to assist the Engineer, being conversant with basic skills including reading a tape measure and having a basic understanding of drawings.
This project involves road and roundabout re-alignment with associated drainage works, kerbing and finishes.
You will be given a good opportunity to progress and must hold a CSCS card and be legally entitled to live and work in the UK. Please apply if interested in an opportunity to progress.
