Job Description

Civil Engineer required for busy Civils contractor with a growing Civils New Build & Term Maintenance Contract portfolio. The annual budget for these sectors is £40m for 2008 and further work is currently being secured locally.

The Role involves setting out for hard landscaping, then supervising, motivating and encouraging the Contractor’s directly employed labour force as they carry out the works on these highly visible areas. You will also be expected to be able to organise and maintain basic daily records and production sheets.

Location. Working on site at Islington you will be near the company’s Enfield office, the bulk of their work is within a 15 mile radius of the office. The work is generally based on a 45 hour week working from Monday to Friday.

Requirement. The ideal candidate for this role will be an Engineer with loads of drive and enthusiasm, a desire to provide high quality workmanship and finishes, with a pro-active and positive attitude towards Health & Safety. You must possess a current CSCS card, whilst a valid driving licence and possession of NRSWA certification and ideally a First Aid qualification would be excellent. A Trades or Engineering background is equally acceptable as long as you can set out accurately and have clear written and oral communication skills.
