Graduate Design Engineer – Oxford

This is a great time for a design engineer to join one of the world's leading suppliers of both technical advice and materials to the construction industry, at their UK branch in Oxford. The company has been established for over 100 years and has offices in over 20 countries.

The area engineer in Oxford will provide in-depth geotechnical engineering advice and design support for their products, which include retaining structures, slope reinforcements, pavements and basal platforms. The position offers a mix of office and site based work, and clients include many of the leading engineering consultancies, developers and construction firms in the UK.

The successful candidate will have eirther an HNC and some experience in a technical environment, or a degree in an engineering or geology related subject. It's a client facing role so you'll need to have lots of enthusiasm and great communication skills. CAD skills would be an advantage.

In return, the position offers a basic salary up to £24k, plus bonus and a contributory pension. You'll also receive excellent training in software and engineering design.
