Job Description

The Supervising Social Worker will be involved in house hold reviews, family finding, supervisions of Social Workers including Trainee Social Workers and students and Administrative Staff. The Supervising Social Worker will exercise effective supervision, support and monitoring skills thus ensuring that foster carers receive effective support to the highest level. The post will also involve undertaking and supervising Form F assessments and their presentation to panels and providing management functions, as agreed with the Service Manager. The Supervising Social Worker will be line managed by the Fostering Manager.

Candidates must be fully registered with the GSCC and have a current, enhanced CRB disclosure.

Candidates must also be car drivers with own vehicle but not always essential.
