A Speech & Language Therapist is required to work in London.

You will be part of a small team working with children with complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning difficulties and feeding and swallowing problems.

Advanced skills in dysphagia are essential. The team is part of the wider Children’s Speech & Language Therapy Department, which is situated together in one base. So there is ample opportunity for peer support and case discussion.

Assessment and intervention is provided in community settings such as schools, homes and Children’s Centres. There is an emphasis on developing the skills of significant people in the child’s life. The post involves working with children across the age range between 0 and 19 years, although the focus is on early intervention. It will also involve working closely with other disciplines in established multi-disciplinary teams to assess the needs of young children.

The rates of pay are competitive and accommodation can easilty be provided.

You must be registered with the Health Professions Coucil and have at least three years relevant experience.
