Our client are a very reputable client that is a sub-group of a larger corporation. Their division is that of forensics in the UK and Europe. They have 6 sites over the UK and employ over 400 members of staff.
They are currently looking to recruit a number of Forensic Examiners to join their casework Biology team at a number of their locations.

Skills

The aim of the role is to be responsible for the forensic input to a variety of cases including affray, sexual assault and homicide. The role requires the candidate to locate, identify and process biological evidence as well as recovering and preserving a range of other evidence types.

Duties:

 LIMS/CMS bookings

 Making sure casework conforms to protocols

 Ensuring the whole case is submitted and turned around to the agreed time and cost

 Customer requirements

 Produce reports

 Developing examination techniques

 Attending court

 Assist at crime scenes

 Training police and courts

 Keep the relevant personnel upto date with developments

Candidates MUST have industry experience and ideally should have used CMS/LIMS, have worked to Health and Safety requirements, managed case files, presenting evidence in court, statement writing, quality management, blood search examining and reporting techniques, BPA examinations and reporting, non-routine evidence examination ad reporting techniques, trace evidence, SGM+ sampling, LCN DNA sampling, fibre recovery.

Please note that we are also recruiting for a large number of other roles including Scientists Examiners and Reporting Officers experienced in various evidence types such as fibres, body fluid, glass, marks and traces, footwear and so on.
