Job Description
Junior Engineers x 3. An excellent opportunity to join a company founded over 35 years ago operating throughout London and the South of England, who have become a well established construction company with an excellent reputation in the industry built on expertise, quality, innovation and professionalism.
The Role. With an Engineering Degree or tertiary level qualification in a Construction related discipline you will have at least 1 to 2 years relevant site experience. You must be able to set out as well as supervise Trainee Engineers and chainmen, if required, be fully conversant with modern construction techniques and equipment, and demonstrate a good level of written and oral communication.
You must have worked for a minimum of 1 year in the UK either for a RC frame contractor or for a groundworks contractor who also works with RC or else for a practically orientated main contractor. Reading and extrapolating information from drawings, day to day paperwork, RFI’s and general organization of the Engineering elements will all form part of your daily duties.
The Project. Multi – storey RC frames to 29 floors, with a linked structure to lower level structures. Currently at the demolition and excavation stage this is an ideal time to join the contract, which will be in situ concrete with post tensioning methods used. The project runs for 18 to 20 months and you will be involved from the initial groundworks through the RC phases to the cladding, hard landscaping and handover.
Successfully completed projects range from basic formwork reinforcement projects to high quality architectural concrete and complex civil engineering contracts. The company’s building experience covers many areas, residential, commercial, industrial and educational for both private and public sector clients. Successful projects range from small residential developments for Housing Associations to multi million pound high-class new build and refurbishment contracts for private clients. A whole range of contract options is covered to meet client requirements including competitive tendering, direct negotiation, construction management, design and build and trade packages under the construction management format.

Rewards. In keeping with a Contractor of this nature you will be well rewarded for your endeavours and can opt for a PAYE structure or a contract basis. The salary level will not be a limiting factor in your employment. Current CSCS card and permission to legally live and work in the UK will be expected, documentary proof will be required.
