Job Description
Our client, a small deluxe hotel located in the heart of the New Forest is looking for a Chef de Partie to work between their two kitchen brigades. The hotel has two restaurants, a 90 seat Gastro Pub and a 30 seat Michelin standard Fine Dining Restaurant. The Gastro Pub brigade consists of 5 people and the successful candidate will be required to head up this team in the absence of the Head Chef. In the Fine Dining Restaurant you would be part of a brigade of 4 people and would be responsible for the main course. This is an amazing opportunity to work under the guidance of two Michelin starred chefs in an open to view kitchen. The ideal candidate will be experienced in English cuisine. He/she will be have previous experience in a similar establishment and be qualified to at least NVQ2 level. A highly motivated individual to whom a focus on quality and attention to detail will be extremely important, the applicant will be expected to play their part in keeping the standards of food preparation and presentation high in their section of the kitchen as well as adhering to health and safety and hygiene regulations. A creative and energetic Chef, the successful applicant will be able embrace the opportunity to work with locally sourced ingredients. All candidates should be eligible to live and work in the UK.
