Senior Engineer – RC Frame. This is either a Permanent or a Contract position to suit you. The Contractor is a very successful and go-ahead company with a sound financial background, and an enviable growth record with a strong knowledge of the construction industry. Established over 25 years ago they have grown by taking on staff who are prepared to “work hard and play hard, for excellent rewards”.

The current requirement is for a Senior Engineer – RC Frame, with a good technical knowledge of RC frames and their construction methods, able to order and call off rebar, supervise 4 Setting out Engineers, co-ordinate and raise RFI’s and deal with CVI’s and able to ensure that the client’s exacting standards are met. This is a £20m project over 2 years, so you must be able to demonstrate a traceable employment and work history. This is a new scheme so there is plenty of opportunity for either a long contract role on a self-employed basis, or a permanent position.

The project is a £ multi million project providing mixed residential and support buildings over the next 24 months. Ideally you will have a Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong engineering background and wish to put your technical knowledge to good use. This is a role that requires good man management skills so you must have good written and oral communication; whilst in the field the ability to produce high quality finishes using GRP moulds for as struck finishes rests with the foremen.

Heading up a professional Engineering team; in addition to the duties described you will have an understanding of Programming, Method statements, client and sub-contractor meetings, technical resolutions, as well as ensuring a high standard of Health & Safety.
