Job Description

An East Sussex Borough County is looking to appoint a Planning Enforcement Manager.

The role will involve helping to lead and manage the City-wide team investigating alleged breaches of Planning control and enforcing Planning legislation within the framework of the Development Plan.

The Planning Enforcement Manager will be be expected to be a member of the Development Control Team's Management Group assisting the Development Control Manager. As a member of the Development Control Management Team, review, initiate and implement the required changes to drive forward the service around enforcement, ensuring and effective and efficient delivery.

The Planning Enforcement manager will also take the lead on all Planning and Enforcement Notices, through the preparation and presentation of evidence in regard to Planning and Enforcement Notices, subsequent appeals and attend Committees, public inquiries and courts as required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar post and hold a Town Planning degree.
