Job Description

Site / Project Manager. Interior fit out in the Docklands area. A new position for a company that specialise in fit out for multi-storey residential buildings.

The Project is now well on the way to structural completion and this fit out Contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a 12 month programme. The end use is residential with a split between private ownership and affordable accommodation. The RC frame is complete and much of the curtain walling is in place, so a weatherproof site will be available. This is one of a number of ongoing projects that the Company is working on.

The Site / Project Manager can either come from a trades background and have continued his training with relevant academic qualifications at a later date, or may have come through from a professional background. However the most important factors are:
• Thorough understanding of the fit-out procedures
• Up to date Health & Safety training and awareness
• The ability to organise both direct and sub contracted packages
• Commercial appreciation of the work entailed and end use
• IT skills for programming and reporting
• A sense of professionalism in dealing with architects, clients and the site team
• The skills to maintain progress and achieve realistic targets

There is scope to take on someone who already has the track record in completing projects of this nature as a No 1, though a dynamic No 2 who is able to prove that they are ready to take on the responsibility and challenges would also be considered.

The Salary range reflects the range of applicants who would be considered and the overall package will be tailored to suit the successful Project Manager. There are combinations of bonuses to take into account stage targets that are achieved and surpassed. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered for the role.
