Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to join one of our growing practice areas. The role involves being fully competent in your own discipline, being able to work independently with minimal supervision, and being confident to share your expertise with others by providing guidance and support as required. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the delivery of Highways and Infrastructure solutions for mixed use developments within the Property Sector. The role will have strong bias towards the project management and design of the Highways and Infrastructure elements associated with developments for both private and public sector clients.

Person Specification
You will be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with significant UK work history, a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering and ideally be a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. You will have the ability to produce detailed designs using a variety of tools including AutoCAD, be familiar with the Design manual for Roads and Bridges, and have knowledge of obtaining highway/drainage authority approval. You will also have the ability to prepare fee proposals, forecast resource requirements, take part in and prepare sections of project reviews, negotiate and gain Section 278 and Section 38 agreements, co-ordinate with Statutory undertakes to ensure capacity exists within existing networks, and produce tender documentation and specifications for construction contracts. In addition you will be able to produce detailed designs using 3D highway design packages such as MOSS or PDS, and produce detailed drainage designs using hand methods and appropriate drainage design packages (ie Micro Drainage). You will be an effective communicator, be able to manage clients expectations and want to take ownership for delivering promises made. You will be able to motivate and empower others in order to reach project and organisational goals, and provide a client focused service which results in on-going satisfaction and repeat business.
