Job Description

Highly dedicated and motivated social worker is needed to start work in a LAC role.

- You will manage a caseload of up to 15 Looked After Children, who are the subjects of Full Care Orders or Section 20 Accommodation.
- They are placed in foster placements; parental placements, community placements and residential resources, and some of them are out of county.
- A small minority may have legal matters that may arise and contact is an ongoing issue.
- You will be responsible for implementing the LAC statutory procedures inclusive of planning and assessment in the young peoples’ best interests.
- Our client has to have someone that has completed this type of work and been successful in the consolidation of cases to best support the service at this time.

The successful candidate will have experience within a children and families environment and you will be available to start work within two weeks of accepting the role.

Initially a three-month contract to help deal with a heavy workload; professional excellence and the right personality could be rewarded by a permanent or longer term contract offer.
