Job Description :
This team, which is based in South London, works with those children and families with high levels of need.
This requires an ability to work in partnership with agencies, both statutory and voluntary, in order to provide the appropriate level of support to children in need.
The successful candidate will require a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, with an extensive knowledge of The Children Act 2004, working within the Family Proceedings Court and Child Protection.
This experience is reflected in the case work of the Team, as in addition to the high level of family support cases, referrals are also taken for Section 7 Reports, Family Proceedings and Supervision Orders.
Child Protection experience is required in order to assess when family support no longer becomes adequate to meet the needs families, and either Child Protection Procedures or legal action becomes a necessary.
