A North West London Borough requires a Senior Planning Policy Officer.

The senior Policy Planner will carry out a range of professional and technical planning function under the supervisor of the Senior Professional Planner who leads the LDF team. The role includes Development Plan preparation, review and related policy development.

The senior Policy Planner's role involves taking an an active role in promoting and enabling equality of opportunity, promoting the diverse needs and aspirations of Harrow's community, ensuring equality and diversity is mainstreamed in all service/directorate activities. You will also be required to Provide policy advice on planning applications by representing the team at pre-application meetings as well as preparing policy advice and information for planning appeals.

The appointed senior Policy Planner will be expected to be a qualified planner with at least 2 years development control experience in the UK, preferably in another London Borough although not essential.
