Job Description

An East London Borough is looking to appoint a Planning Policy Officer within their Spatial Planning department.

The Policy Officer will be required to contribute to the production, implementation, monitoring and review of the Waltham Forest Local Development Framework. The role will involve driving forward the preparation and updating of the evidence base required for the Local Development Framework and also its integration with the Sustainable Community Strategy.

The Planning Policy Officer will need to assist in helping identify what factors help form the local distinctiveness of the different areas which make up the Borough, involving assembling and maintaining a common evidence base and information repository shared between partners that is also accessible to the public.

The appointed Policy Officer will be an experienced Town Planner, have previously worked in a similar role and hold a Town Planning degree.
