Job Description
Our client is a leading independent traffic modelling consultancy operating globally with offices in Edinburgh and California.
The Edinburgh office has a requirement for a dynamic, highly motivated Transportation Modeller with a minimum of 3 years experience in transport microsimulation modelling to undertake a variety of high profile national and international projects primarily within the US and Canada.
Candidates will have a relevant transportation degree or equivalent and have good experience in microsimulation and a good understanding of industry calibration and validation standards. Some experience in training staff would be beneficial, but this is not essential. Candidates should also have experience of and be capable of managing and delivering simulation projects, and have the ability to work to deadlines.
The successful candidate will be part of a small, successful team working on high profile microsimulation projects, which will involve development of highway and urban model development.
Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which will enable the successful candidate to liaise effectively within the company and with their UK and overseas clients. Highly competitive salary (£32-40K) and excellent benefits to the right individual, who will have the opportunity to get involved in interesting international projects at the cutting edge of microsimulation traffic modelling. There will be the possibility for international travel for the right candidate.
