Job Purpose
Working with the Project Engineer to derive solutions and to be involved in drafting up solutions and engineers sketches into working construction drawings.

Projects include major signalling projects for Network Rail involving the design and detailing of over 250 structures, new bridge designs, bridge strengthening and renewals.

Accountabilities:
• Providing drafting solutions for bridges, building structures, paving, walls, drainage and other associated areas
• Deliver solutions within agreed timescales
• Work well within a team and individually
• Monitor and provide information to project stakeholders
• Operate through agreed lines of communication with the relevant levels of the client organisation and within the company
• Actively seek innovations and service improvements.

Competencies / Qualification:

• HND Civil Engineering

Experience:
• Good working knowledge and experience of AutoCAD
• Able to carry out work within established routines and technical principles
• Good Working knowledge of specific discipline and aware of relevant standards within a quality assured environment
• Project management
• Familiar with civil/structural engineering preferably in a rail environment

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated software
• Full Driving Licence
