A small design-led Architectural practice wishes to appoint a Construction Technician to work on residential projects.

The South West London based practice is expanding and has built up a reputation for innovation through a rare mix of projects from domestic to high-end eco new builds.

They now require a construction technician who has had previous experience in a similar role within the UK residential housing market. The ideal candidate will have a background in Architecture, Building Surveying or Construction.

In your role you will be translating 2d planning approved proposals into construction drawings and carrying design proposals through to completion via detailed drawings. Other duties will involve submitting full plans building regulation to local London boroughs and you therefore should also have the ability to negotiate with building control officers and departments.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the methods of construction for domestic house building, including extensions, refurbishments and new eco builds. You should be AutoCAD proficient as well as possessing a good understanding of building control regulations. It is desirable that you have an understanding of the financial aspects of running a design project on time and to budget and have had on site experience.
