Job Description

Our client is part of a top 20 UK construction group whose principal activities are Design and Build fit out, regional construction and property investment. They have financial stability, enormous buying power and national coverage of closely-vetted suppliers and sub-contractors throughout the UK.

Owing to internal promotion, they are looking for a skilled and committed individual to join the team. Personal drive and integrity, with the ability to achieve excellent results are important.

Ideally the candidate will be experienced in managing roll out programes of fit-out and refurbishment contracts, (typically with a value of £500K to £2M), and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of project delivery to programme, financial viability and to the required quality levels.

Key tasks include:
• Providing input into pre-construction activities
• Producing contract programmes
• Producing procurement programmes
• Financial control of all projects
• Managing the planning of work methods, resources and systems
• Monitoring and controlling contract cost, quality and progress
• Developing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues customers and the community
• Managing health safety and environmental systems
• Managing customer care requirements and contributing to marketing strategy and corporate image
Key personal skills
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Computer literate
• Good communication skills, written & verbal; production of reports and programmes
• Positive and self motivated approach to your career
• Ability to chair and coordinate meetings
• Ability to identify and resolve problems

Appropriate CSCS accreditation or the criteria to achieve this promptly is a prerequisite for this position.
