Job Description
My client is seeking Candidates that ideally will have attained a recognised degree in the building construction and/or civil engineering profession, be chartered or working to become a member of the RICS or CIOB, or have a minimum of 3 year’s experience with demonstrable knowledge or skills in the following areas:
The building construction, rail and/or civil engineering industry
IT and the ability to use a variety of computer software
Good written and oral communications skills
Good presentation and interpersonal skills
Client Management
Candidates will have Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying and Estimating experience and will including all rail disciplines including signalling, track, telecoms, civils, stations and buildings. Contractor or Consultancy background. You will be expected to work within a team responsible for a variety of construction and engineering projects. Duties will generally comprise but not be limited to:
Measuring and describing building and civil engineering construction work including the preparation of tender documentation
Preparing and using detailed budgets and cost plans
Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
Preparing interim applications for payment
The preparation and agreement of final accounts
Management and control of projects
Deal with contractual issues including extensions of time, loss and or expense claims, terms and conditions etc with assistance
