Job Description

As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor my client is seeking candidates that will be expected to possess considerable knowledge and skills attained during your previous work experience within the building construction and/or civil engineering industry.

Duties will comprise but not be limited to:

 Measuring and describing Mechanical & Electrical work including the preparation of tender documentation and negotiation with contractors
 Preparing and using detailed budgets and cost plans
 Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
 Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
 Preparing interim applications for payment
 Preparation and presentation of financial control/WIP documentation
 The preparation and agreement of final accounts
 Procurement of Sub-contractor packages for enquiry to order, then management through to final account agreement.
 Management and control of major projects within the construction .

Candidates will ideally have attained a recognised degree in the building construction and/or civil engineering profession, be a chartered member of the RICS or CIOB, or have gained significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor and acquired excellent knowledge and skills in the following areas:

 The building construction services industry
 IT and the ability to use a variety of computer software
 Excellent written and oral communications skills
 Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
 Proven Client Management and Business Development Skills
 Ability to mentor and coach less experienced colleagues
