A multidisciplinary Engineering practice with office in the UK, Russia and Hong Kong specialising in the design of commercial, industrial, retail, hotel and leisure, residential buildings and the provision of other engineering consultancy services to the construction industry. Services include conceptual and outline design, full detailed design, preparation of drawings, preparation of specifications, tender and contract documents, specialist investigations and reports, expert witness duties, site supervision, audits and checking of designs by others, surveys and inspections. The core services include Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Public Health Services, Structural and Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Sustainability, Water Services, Fire Services and Refurbishment and Fit-Out.
Projects:
This client is working a large amount of projects in the UK and Overseas such as 150 luxury residential developments in Westminster, London, Retail development in Moscow, Data Centre & Disaster Recovery Site in Hong Kong
Role: Associate Mechanical Design Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy that are currently working on prestigious projects in the UK, Europe and overseas. This consultancy is looking for an experienced associate mechanical engineer to help grow and develop the London office. You will be working within a team of 10 engineers training from graduate level to principal. You will answer to two directors that manage the London office where they focus on UK and Russian projects. The office is split over two open plan floors within a friendly office and pleasant working environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in AutoCAD, HEVACOMP,CYMAP
- Degree qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Chartered or evidence of work towards chartered status

Requirements:
You will have a strong mechanical design understanding on data centres, residential, Industrial, hotel and Leisure projects. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as you will be required to chair meetings with clients and company directors. As an experienced associate mechanical design engineer you will be required to mentor engineers and lead a team to complete projects no time and to a high standard to encourage repeat business and recommendations from clients. You will have in-depth knowledge of heat loss and heat gain calculations, sizing of mechanical plants including air conditioning units, refrigeration units and fans, with a building services background.
