Friendly Islington practice is looking for an Architect or Senior Technician to work on high end residential projects in UK. They currently have planning approval for 5 one-off houses in Essex, offering you a fantastic opportunity to get some hands on experience. It is essential tht you have good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the confidence to communicate with other consultants and the main contractor, who is also the client (D&B contract). The role involves producing construction drawings and external details from scratch. You'll need to be capable of working independently, although there is a Project Architect running the job. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is also a must. This is a 2-3 month full-time contract role. Alternatively, it may suit an Architect who already undertakes private work and is wanting 4 days work per week.
