Site Engineer
Olympic – Roads and Bridges
Permanent
£24k - £29k + Benefits
This project is to construct the roads, bridges and underpasses around the new stadiums and facilities for the 2012 Olympics. The project is worth approximately £35m with the construction phase completed in late 2011
The contractor is one of the major players based in the UK. With an annual turnover exceeding £500m, they undertake projects across the civil engineering spectrum from roads, bridges and earthworks to water, rail and marine.
The project team will be split into 2 teams, 1 looking after the roads and the other on the structures section. There are requirements for both teams and hence they are seeking Site Engineers with either roads or bridges experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
•Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
•Some site experience on a civil engineering project is required
•Roads and / or bridges project experience is desirable
•Able to use total stations and / or GPS unaided
•Relevant CSCS card and National Insurance number is critical
