the pub is a large, busy pub/restaurant, which is part of the Chef & Brewer group, situated in a village in Surrey, approximately twenty minutes from London. We are a superb food house with seating for 130 customers inside and a further 250 outside!
We currently have a vacancy for a couple: one for a bar/waiting person and the other as a kitchen assistant/commis chef.
Our ideal bar/waiting candidate would be self-driven, enthusiastic, of strong character, life-loving and have that spark that keeps the customers coming back. At least one year’s previous bar/waiting experience in a high volume establishment is essential. Candidates must be of smart appearance, motivated, fluent in English and be able to offer guests better than average service.
For the position of kitchen assistant/commis chef we need an organized and efficient person who is able to assist the chef with the preparation of starters and snacks. You will be joining an experienced kitchen team and will have to assist wherever necessary, including the daily cleaning routines.
We offer on site accommodation, meals on duty and competitive salary packages. The candidates will need to commit to a minimum of six months and must follow company guidelines.
